I began playing the cello at the age of 12 in junior high school orchestra. From there I began private cello lessons with Irving Lipschlutz. I studied cello and performed with youth orchestras and ensembles until I graduated from high school. At that time my musical path took a different turn and my informal music studies began.
As a child of r&b, jazz, rock-and-roll, country and other musical influences I began an unconventional journey with my cello. Along with the cello, I also play guitar and sing.
I have performed and recorded with numerous bands and projects over the years and continue to look for ways to put the cello into diverse musical situations.
